ABOUT US
We are the children's ministry at Calvary Chapel in Sarasota, Florida, USA. We teach, disciple, encourage, counsel, love on, worship & play with babies up through 5th grade in age appropriate settings.
We have a set of volunteers that have been screened by background checks that love children and love God and want to share that "gift" from God with the kids that attend this church.
We use a variety of curriculum and programs to provide a rich learning environment that keeps kids coming back.
We are open to new ideas and always searching for better ways to accomplish God's will for our kids, our volunteers, and the church as a whole.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
- To train the kids to have a healthy fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 9:10, Job 28:28, Psalm 147:11)
- To instill God's Word in their hearts and minds (Deuteronomy 6:5. Proverbs 7:1-3, John 14:15)
- To provide a safe and secure environment (Matthew 18:5-6)
- To let kids be kids and have fun (Matthew 18:3, Mark 10:15, Luke 18:17)
- To balance church activities with home life to not exasperate families (Ephesians 6:4)
We want to turn the children's FAITH in Christ into a TRUST in Christ that becomes a REALITY for them, so they can be bold to live for Christ by their ACTION.
